There will be a retirement reception for Road and Bridge/Memorial Parks Director Dale Phillips on Wednesday. The vendor-sponsored event will be held at the Road and Bridge Shop, 2401 7th, Great Bend (on Morphy Street between Sixth and Seventh streets). This will include a luncheon that begins at 11:30 a.m. and a reception from 3:30 to 6 p.m.

Phillips has worked for the department for 44 years.
