Riley All Stars will visit county commission

The Barton County Commission will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main, in Room 106. The agenda meeting will begin at 9 a.m.

The Commission meeting will be live-streamed through Microsoft Teams. Citizens may view the meeting through their own sign-in or by signing in anonymously at https://bit.ly/3zqh6xd. Those who wish to participate in the discussion of any item are asked to call 620-793-1800 for instructions.

Items on the agenda include the introduction of sixth-grade students from Riley Elementary School who graduated from the All Stars program; the 2022 diesel fuel quote from the Solid Waste Department; and an update on the 2022 tax sale.

The commission may view the Windgate Apartment site at 1410 N Vine, Hoisington.

The following appointments have been scheduled:

9:30 a.m. or following the close of the Agenda Meeting – Program Update – Barry McManaman, County Engineer.

10 a.m. – Program Update – Baily Rankin, ERC President.

10:15 a.m. – Program Update – Veronica Coons, Barton County Conservation District Manager.

10:30 a.m. – Fuel Discussions – Darren Williams, County Works Director.

10:45 a.m. – Budget Discussion with Local Ambulance Providers.

11:30 a.m. – Regular Business Discussion – Matt Patzner, Director of Operations.
