Great Bend High School wants to inform families about a recent phone scam. A parent reported receiving a call from someone claiming their student requested ACT study materials and then asking for credit card information. When the parent asked follow-up questions, the caller quickly hung up.

A similar scam occurred in 2019, district officials reported, with the reminder that ACT will NEVER ask for credit card information over the phone.
