The Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education will elect officers and organize for the 2021-2022 year when it meets at 5 p.m. Monday, July 12, at the District Education Center, 201 S. Patton Road.

There will be a presentation on Parents as Teachers and a ROSE Award, Recognizing Outstanding Service to Education, will be presented. The board will approve policy revisions that were first presented in June, review USD 428 health insurance, and approve the application for a grant from the Federal Communication Commission’s Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) to help pay for Chromebook devices.

The board will also adopt a resolution expressing the property taxation policy of the district, with respect to exceeding the Revenue Neutral Tax Rate for financing next year’s budget.
