Sheriff seeking individual wanted for questioning in homicide

Local law enforcement is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Clinton Wayne Rogers, wanted for questioning relating to the homicide of a Medicine Lodge woman Monday afternoon, authorities said.

Rogers is a white male, 34 years of age, 6’1”, 273 pounds, hazel eyes and brown hair. He has ties to Barton County and it is believed he may be in the area, Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir said.

According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, authorities are looking for Rogers and his 2002 white Ford extended cab F-150 pickup truck with possible Kansas license plate 870JUK.

The Medicine Lodge Police Department requested KBI assistance at approximately 2 p.m. Monday, July 27, the KBI reported. Special agents and the Crime Scene Response Team responded.

Just before 1:50 p.m., a family member called 911 after finding 61-year-old Joyce A. Foulkrod deceased inside her home at 3 Whitney Lane in Medicine Lodge. Emergency Medical Services, the Medicine Lodge Police Department and the Barber County Sheriff’s Office responded. EMS pronounced her dead at the scene.
