Madelynne Siefkes, a 7th-grader at Great Bend Middle School, participated in the John Phillip Sousa Jr. Honor Band on Saturday, Jan.  29. She auditioned this fall and was selected. Band members rehearsed together Friday evening and Saturday morning before the afternoon concert. This is her second year being selected. Last year the concert was virtual. Madelynne is part of the GBMS 7th grade band and the GBMS Jazz Band. She also studies privately with Kurtis Koch.
