Some City staff quarantined
gbtribune news

A “small number” of City of Great Bend staff have been quarantined due to exposure to COVID-19, city officials confirmed Thursday evening.

According to a statement from Community Coordinator Christina Hayes, “The Great Bend Police Department and City officials want citizens to know that the safety of the public is their upmost concern. A small number of staff have been quarantined due to exposure to COVID-19.

“The number of staff who are quarantined will not impact the duties and responsibilities of the department.”

City Administrator Kendal Francis noted that the city has plans in place to address this type of situation. Keeping staff and citizens safe is “our top priority,” he stated, adding “we encourage everyone to follow KDHE & CDC guidelines as we ensure you the best care we can give from city staff.”
