Join the FHSU Astronomy Club at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center on Friday, Oct. 27 for an evening of exploring the night sky. Take advantage of Cheyenne Bottoms’ dark skies to enjoy a breathtaking view of the stars. The FHSU Astronomy Club will be bringing a variety of telescopes and other astronomy equipment to showcase some particularly fascinating celestial objects.
Saturn and its rings will be a highlight of the evening, and the Astronomy Club will train their telescopes on a variety of deep space objects like nebulas and distant stars.
Viewing will begin at 7:30 p.m. and end at 9 at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center, 592 NE K-156, weather permitting. Participants should dress warmly. The KWEC will provide refreshments, including hot cocoa.
