Street work at Broadway and McKinley starts Monday
1-Tribune

The Great Bend Streets Department will start street work Monday at Broadway and McKinley, Street Superintendent Mike Crawford said.
A crew will be working on the west side, replacing asphalt where it meets the concrete to making a smoother transition.
“We will be working from the double yellow line to the curb,” Crawford said. “This will mean we will have east- and westbound traffic in two lanes side by side. Cones and signs will be in place.
“We are asking drivers who use this intersection to slow down and watch for workers. If it is at all possible please, for everyone’s safety, take another route.”
The work will take about three weeks. Most of that time is for the concrete to cure.
“We hope it will not create too much of an inconvenience for drivers but it is work needing to be done,” Crawford said.
