What could be a vexing situation for some is just another day learning about robotics in Jake Hofflinger’s Mass Production class at Great Bend High School.
Hofflinger said students brainstorm ideas, create drawings, build using VEX robotics components and write C code using Robot C software.
“Each robotics project in this series uses a new component and challenges students to problem solve,” he said. “The only requirement is that the servo motor has to be a central part of the design.”
“These assignments make you think,” said Harley Ringo, sophomore. “You have to figure out how you want the parts to work.”
“Writing C code is the hardest part,” added Daulton Paden, junior. “It never works right the first time and you have to figure out why and make changes.”
