The boys’ swimming team at Great Bend High School will be holding a fund raiser for the Make-a-Wish foundation starting Feb. 27 at the Barton Community College pool. The team is hoping to raise $5,000 to be donated to a family/child in Great Bend or Barton County.
 The event is a 100-mile relay with swimmers from GBHS swimming a mile at a time until the distance is completed. They will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, and swim non-stop until they finish sometime Sunday, March 1.
The swimmers will be going out to ask for donations starting this week. Donations can also be sent to GBHS Activities Office, 2027 Morton St., with checks made to Make-a-Wish Foundation.
