Teens at the Great Bend Public Library are celebrating the cold this December, according to YA/Marketing Librarian Jennifer King.
“That’s right, (next) month it’s Decembrr in the Teen Spot,” King said. First up is a Teen Movie Monday at 4 p.m. on Dec. 1. A snowy day changes one teenage girl’s future in the movie, “If I Stay.” Teen Movie Mondays are scheduled for each week in December, except Dec. 8. The library will be closed on Dec. 8 for building maintenance.
Teen Spot activities are free to students in grades 7-12.
The next Day o’ Stuff is Double-Stuffed, King said. From 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, teens are invited to a double feature, double craft night. They can drop in any time for crafting during two animated movies featuring characters with power over the cold. This month’s crafts are Cubee Craft Ornaments and Oreo Snowmen.
Teen Writing Club meets at 4 p.m. on Wednesdays. The December theme is “Snow.” Snacks are provided.
The library will be closed for the holidays on Dec. 24-25 and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
