Update: The earlier accidents actually involved men on bicycles, not pedestrians. More information on these and other cases was posted on Sept. 27.

Great Bend Police Department reports that a car hit a pedestrian at 7:58 a.m. Thursday in the 2300 block of 19th St., south of Great Bend High School. The pedestrian, who was hit while crossing the street, was transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital with head injuries.
No additional information was released Thursday, although witnesses told the Tribune both the driver and the pedestrian were students.
The Great Bend Tribune is still awaiting the release of information about two vehicle-pedestrian accidents that occurred last Friday and Saturday. As of Thursday afternoon, the reports were not available. According to the briefing log for those days, a hit-and-run driver in a white car was southbound on Odell St. at 4:44 p.m. on Sept. 20 and struck pedestrian Troy Parks, who was traveling east on 12th St. And, at 2:18 p.m. Sept. 21, pedestrian Harry Willems was reportedly struck by driver Kathryn Ney at 5513 Broadway Ave.
