The skies in central Kansas turned gray Thursday afternoon as the National Weather Service predicted showers and thunderstorms, although the hazardous weather outlook ranked “2” or “small” on the hazard scale.
According to the NWS, severe storms are possible for Saturday afternoon and early evening along a southward moving cold front. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats.
Additional chances for thunderstorms will be possible from late Sunday through much of next week, in an unsettled weather pattern.
