Traffic stop nets drug bust

A traffic stop Monday night led to the arrest of a Great Bend woman on drug charges, according to a Great Bend Police Department news release.

At approximately 9:56 p.m. Monday, a GBPD officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at 23rd and McKinley streets for a traffic violation. The driver, and only occupant of the vehicle was identified as Aqeisa Koett , 38. She had an outstanding warrant for possession of methamphetamine from a previous narcotics investigation. 

During the arrest of Koett, a plastic baggie containing numerous prescription pills was in the vehicle. Koett was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance. 

Koett was transported to the Barton County Jail where she was booked in lieu of $20,000 bond.
