In two separate incidents Tuesday night, the Great Bend Police Department arrested two local residents on unrelated drug charges, according to GBPD news releases.
First, at 7:47 p.m. an officer with the GBPD located Herman Pitts, 27, walking in the 3500 block of 12th Street. The officer confirmed warrants on Pitts and placed him under arrest. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, transported to the Barton County Detention Center where he was booked on the warrant and for possession of meth.
Second, at approximately 9:37 p.m., a GBPD officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 3600 block of 10th Street. The department’s K9 Lazar was deployed and indicated there was an odor of illegal narcotics
A search of the vehicle was conducted and methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located. Cody Crawford, 26 was arrested and booked in lieu of bond at the Barton County Detention Center for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
