Tickets are now available for purchase to the USD 428 Education Foundation dinner. The fund raiser is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 at the Highland Hotel. Tickets are $50 each, the same price as when the fund raiser started in 1989.
The western-themed evening will include a dinner of barbecued ribs and brisket, fried chicken and all the trimmings. There will be a silent auction of table centerpieces created by students of Rollie Peter and Liz Bowman. Old-time picture portraits, complete with costumes and backdrops, will be available from Dan Heath’s theater students.
Following the dinner, country-music entertainment will be provided by the Great Bend High School Madrigal Pops Singers and will include an opportunity to learn a line dance. Dress is casual and western-wear is optional.
This Education Foundation fund raiser helps fund the minigrant program in which teachers apply for grants to help supplement their programs that would otherwise be unfunded.
To purchase tickets, please call Jennifer Schartz, USD 428 public information director, 793-1500.
