Parents with students returning to Great Bend USD 428 in August may enroll them online beginning Monday, July 18.
The school district initiated online enrollment last year and it was well received, said Jan Frenzl at USD 428. “We had very good results and positive feedback,” she commented.
The first thing parents and guardians need is a Family Access account. Then they should go online to the district website, www.usd428.net, and click on the enrollment link.
Those who don’t have an account or need help getting started should call the District Education Center, 793-1500.
USD 428 is strongly encouraging parents to enroll their children online early and not wait for the Aug. 2 and 3 walk-in enrollment dates.
People can complete the enrollment process from the comfort of their own homes. If they wait for actual enrollment, they will still be required to enroll their students online. There will be computers available and people to assist at all of the schools during enrollment dates, but the lines may be long.
Anyone who is new to the Great Bend school district will have to go to the school during the Aug. 2-3 enrollment dates, unless they have pre-enrolled at a kindergarten roundup.
