The Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education will review the School Restart Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic when it meets at 5 p.m. Monday, July 13, at the District Education Center, 201 South Patton Road.

This will be the board’s first meeting of Fiscal Year 2020-2021, so it will begin with the election of officers and other annual appointments and organizational procedures.

Items under new business, in addition to the plans for the fall semester, include revisiting the goal-setting meeting held on Feb. 17, and a proposal regarding Intrado School Messenger, an integrated communication system for USD 428 K-12 students and families. The system provides texting capabilities, a 2-way messaging app, community app, and a new website platform.

The administration will provide the board with an update on work being done/progress being made in the area of School Mental Health.

There will be an executive session to discuss the ratification of the negotiated agreement (teacher contracts). After that, the board is expected to approve a consent agenda that includes the negotiated agreement, an adjustment to classified pay, director contracts, administrative contracts and the latest personnel report.
