The Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education’s Revenue Neutral Rate hearing will start at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at the District Education Center, 201 South Patton Road. Following the hearing, the board may approve a resolution to exceeded the RNR for financing the 2023-2024 budget. Superintendent Khris Thexton will provide details and recommend approval.
This will be followed by the annual public budget hearing, with a review of the district needs assessment. The regular board meeting will follow.
Items on the agenda include a ROSE Award, Recognizing Outstanding Service to Education, to GBMS teacher assistant Ben Dodge; and a proposal to add Unified Bowling, an inclusive program that combines Special Olympics athletes on teams with athletes without intellectual disabilities.
