Due to the extreme cold, if anyone is without water they are urged to call the Utilities Department at 620-793-4170 and not attempt to thaw out nor turn off their water meters. 

“We are having meter valves damaged by customers attempting to turn them off themselves,” said Utilities Supervisor Jenna Pitchford. “Please do not do this.”

She said they are responding to the large volume of calls as quickly as they can.
