Veterans and other guests who meet regularly for coffee and doughnuts at the American Legion Post in Great Bend will changes things up a bit this Wednesday, April 22. The coffee and doughnuts will be at the Doonan Truck Museum east of Great Bend at 9:30 a.m. Any veteran who needs a ride may call Bill or Cheryl Pickle before Tuesday. Bill’s telephone number is 620-791-7017 and Cheryl’s number is 620-617-6757.
The American Legion Argonne Post 180 is located at 1011 Kansas Ave. and normally has coffee and doughnuts at 9:30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The Doonan Truck Museum is located at “Doonan Corner,” 2 miles east of Great Bend at the U.S. 56/K-156 junction. It is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
