A 38-year-old woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine along with other charges as the result of a traffic stop Friday afternoon.
The Great Bend Police Department reported officers initiating a traffic stop at approximately 2:39 Friday in the 1000 block of Garfield St. for an equipment infraction.
During the traffic stop, K-9 Mental was utilized to conduct a free air sniff, where she alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics.
While searching the vehicle, officers located a glass pipe containing a white residue and a small bag containing a white powdery substance.
The driver of the vehicle, Crystal Bates, 38, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license.
She was transported to the Barton County Jail and booked in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
