A 46-year-old Great Bend man was arrested following a traffic stop Wednesday morning, according to the Great Bend Police Department.
According to a report, Great Bend officers initiated a stop on a vehicle in the 1400 block of Jefferson Street for a traffic infraction at approximately 7:38 a.m.
K-9 Menta was utilized to conduct a free air sniff during the stop, where she alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics. Officers searching the vehicle located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside. John Lynch, 46, was placed under arrest for driving while suspended, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp.
He was transported to the Barton County Jail where he was booked in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
