A Lyons man received what appeared to be minor injuries Friday evening when the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe he was driving went off U.S. 56 in Rice County, 0.1 miles east of 20th Road. Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at 8:16 p.m.

Baldomero Arenivas-Armendariz, 24, was driving west and crossed over into the eastbound lanes. The Tahoe left the roadway into the north ditch and struck an embankment. The driver was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to the Hutchinson Hospital.
