Great Bend Fire/EMS
Firefighters made five ambulance runs Thursday. There were no fires.

Vehicles driven by Juan Abaca-Reyes and Maricella Garcia collided at 11:34 a.m. Thursday.
A theft was reported at 2716 10th St.
A search warrant was served at 4:48 p.m. Thursday at 1703 Lakin Ave.
A drug arrest was made during an apparent traffic stop at 9:14 p.m. on K-96. Brian Jonas, 37, of Russell, was booked into the county jail for possession of meth and paraphernalia, in lieu of $10,000 bond. A 33-year-old woman in the car may also have been arrested, but her name was not on the jail’s “media log” for Thursday.

Barton County Sheriff
A traffic arrest was conducted at 1:06 a.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Odell Street in Great Bend. The K-9 unit was deployed.
A dump truck went off NE 90 Ave. and NE 130 Road around 10:30 a.m. Thursday and struck a fence.
A burglary was reported at 1566 East Barton County Road. Someone cut the chain on the gate to a farm and took several items.
A vehicle hit a deer at 5:36 p.m. Thursday, about 50 feet from the motorist’s driveway in the 1300 block of NE 190 Road.
A vehicle hit a deer at 5:12 a.m. Friday at NE 100 Ave. and East K-4, 3 miles west of Claflin.
