Great Bend Fire/EMS

Firefighters made five ambulance runs Thursday. At 3:25 a.m. Friday, they extinguished a small fire in a barrel in the 500 block of Oil Center Road.

Barton County Sheriff
A vehicle hit a mailbox at 237 NE 60 Ave., knocking it into the ditch, it was reported Thursday.
A battery was reported at 2:29 p.m. Thursday at the jail.
A dorm room in Bluestem Hall at Barton Community College was reportedly broken into sometime between March 14 and early last Friday. Cash was taken.

Great Bend Police
A burglary was reported Thursday at 5926 Hemlock Dr. A wallet and an iPod were taken from vehicles.
Theft of a Kansas license plate from 1425 Broadway Ave. was reported.
A wallet was reportedly stolen from 5926 Eisenhower Ave.
A Great Bend resident reported a violation of a Protection From Abuse order.
Someone damaged the Redbox vending machine at the Kwik Shop, 3907 Broadway Ave.
