Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made 10 ambulance runs Friday, Feb. 10, three Saturday and none on Sunday.

At 1:05 a.m. Saturday, a report of smoke at Bartlett Grain Elevators, 15 NE 60 Ave., turned out to be dust from a grain bin.

A fire in a back yard at 1809 Patton Road was reported at 2:27 p.m. Sunday. It was a smoker and was out when firefighters arrived.

Firefighters were en route to a call in the 2900 block of 18th St. around 10 p.m. Sunday when the call was canceled.


Great Bend Police

A burglary in progress reported at 3:21 a.m. Friday at 6030 Rosewood Dr. resulted in an arrest. Ryan Lang was arrested for aggravated burglary, criminal damage to property, criminal trespass, battery of a law enforcement officer and harm to a police dog (Menta) and booked at the Barton County Jail.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:17 a.m. Friday at the Animal Care Hospital, 3400 10th St.

A theft of a catalytic converter from a vehicle left overnight at Advanced Therapy and Sports Medicine, 4801 10th St., was reported at 12:13 p.m. Friday.

K9 Menta was called out for a narcotics violation reported at 12:22 p.m. at 10th and McKinley. The case was taken by the Barton County Sheriff's Office.

A two-vehicle injury crash was reported at 2:10 p.m. Friday at 24th and K-96.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 8:45 p.m. at 815 Maple St.

A theft resulting in the issuance of a notice to appear was reported at 12:53 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 3503 10th St.

A battery was reported at 2:16 a.m. Sunday at 320 Hubbard St.

A hit-and-run crash on private property was reported at 10:24 a.m. Sunday at 608 Holland St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:11 p.m. at Broadway and Washington.

A burglary not in progress was reported at 8:03 p.m. at 307 Frey St.   

A domestic disturbance resulting in an arrest was reported at 8:33 p.m. at 1443 18th St. Jerimiah Morris was arrested for assault of a law enforcement officer, assault and criminal damage to property and booked at Barton County Jail in lieu of bond.

A narcotics violation was reported at 12:22 p.m. Friday at 10th and McKinley, Great Bend.
