Great Bend Fire Department

Great Bend Fire Department was asked to assist Ellinwood Fire Department at 4:36 p.m. Sunday with a grass fire in the 100 block of NE 70 Ave. The fire was also in trees and a row of hay bales.

A possible fire was reported at 7:36 a.m.  Wednesday in the 2200 block of Cleveland Street.

Great Bend Police

An injury crash was reported at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday at 10th and McKinley. A hit-and-run motorist ran a red light and struck another vehicle,  which then hit a third vehicle.

Theft of a microwave and a ring was reported at 2618 23rd St.

Barton County Sheriff

A traffic arrest was made at 11:14 p.m. Tuesday at Railroad Ave. and Main Street, Great Bend.
