Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made four ambulance runs on Friday,  10 on Saturday and seven on Sunday.

Firefighters had two calls Friday that were canceled while they were en route. They also checked on a report of a gas leak at 7:49 a.m. Friday at 10th and Frey. They found nothing but the gas company was contacted.

There was a smoke alarm on Sunday but nothing was found.


Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:43 a.m. Friday at 323 Hickory St.

Criminal damage to a 2017 Jeep at 214 Heizer St. was reported Friday.

A possible narcotics violation was reported at 10:27 a.m. Saturday at Railroad Ave. and Washington. The BCSO K-9 was called.

A male sustained a facial injury due to his rifle backfiring on him at 1:57 p.m. Saturday at 4600 Dike Road. He was transported to the University of Kansas Health System - Great Bend campus.

A non-injury crash was reported at 3:22 p.m. Saturday at Dillons No. 3, 1811 Main St. Because the crash involved a city ambulance and a parked vehicle, the BCSO handled the report.

A fight was reported at 5:04 a.m. Sunday at 112 Elm St. Antonio Quiroz was arrested for aggravated battery and Graciela Guereca was arrested for battery. Both were released after posting bond.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 1418 11th St.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Chevy Equinox collided at 2:17 p.m. Sunday in the 2500 block of Broadway. No injuries were reported.

A Nissan Altima and an older-model passenger collided at 5:48 p.m. at 3511 Lakin Ave. No injuries were reported.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 7:22 p.m. at 1219 Washington St. A battery that was connected to the criminal damage call was reported at 7:25 p.m. at 2608 16th St.

A hit-and-run non-injury crash was reported at 10:34 p.m. in the 1700 block of Holland St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 12:27 p.m. Friday at NE 30 Road and Washington Ave., Great Bend.

Criminal damage to property was reported at 856 NW 105 Road, Olmitz.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:21 p.m. at East U.S. 56 and SE 10 Road, Ellinwood.

An injury crash was reported at 8:06 p.m. Saturday at SE 70 Road and SE 100 Ave., Ellinwood.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:12 a.m. Sunday on North U.S. 281 at mile marker 108.

A non-injury crash was reported at 9:04 a.m. at Venture Asphalt Plant, 328 SW 56 Ave., Great Bend.

An injury crash was reported at 4:02 p.m. at NE 60 Road and NE 130 Ave., Ellinwood.
