Great Bend Fire/EMS

Emergency Medical Service made four ambulance runs Friday, four Saturday and three Sunday.

A controlled burn in the 200 block of NW 10 Ave. re-ignited around 9:43 a.m. Friday.

At 10:45 a.m. Sunday, firefighters checked on a hot smell in the 1400 block of 10th St. and found an overheated motor. The breakers were shut off and an electrician was called.

A tree row fire was reported at 4:20 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of SW 10 Ave., Great Bend.


Great Bend Police

A search warrant was issued at 9:45 a.m. Friday, March 24, at 2501 Cheyenne Dr. Michael Hurd was arrested on a Barton County warrant.

A non-injury crash involving a City of Great Bend trash truck was reported at 11:40 a.m. at Credit Union of America, 4708 10th St. The Barton County Sheriff’s Office responded due to a City vehicle being involved.

A fraud case was reported at the Kwik Shop 753, 3907 Broadway Ave.

A non-injury crash was reported at 11:44 a.m. Friday when a vehicle driven by Imogene Christiansen struck the Dollar General building at 2400 10th St.

Subjects reportedly stole items from Walmart.

A non-injury crash was reported at 8:30 p.m. at 10th and Harrison.

Trash\dumping was reported down by the Arkansas River on Sunday.

Fraud/criminal use of a financial card was reported at 2530 Lakin Ave.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:27 p.m. at McDonald’s, 3307 10th St.

A pursuit was reported at 6:34 p.m. Sunday after officers attempted to stop a black motorcycle.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:13 a.m. Friday at East Barton County Road and East U.S. 56, Ellinwood.

Search warrants were executed at 9:39 a.m. Friday at the Holiday Apartments, 5210 10th St., Great Bend.

A theft was reported Friday night at Outer Limits Liquor store, 31 NE 30 Road, Great Bend.

A pursuit was reported at 11:13 p.m. Friday at West U.S. 56 and SW 90 Ave.

A fraud case was reported Saturday at 448 NE 180 Road, Claflin.

A search warrant was executed at 8:12 p.m. Saturday at 511 East 3rd St. in Ellinwood.

A search warrant was executed at 10:23 p.m. at 910 North Kennedy Ave. in Ellinwood.

A pursuit was reported at 6:34 p.m. Sunday at 16th and Washington, Great Bend.

A theft was reported at 7:24 p.m. Sunday, somewhere on North U.S. 281.
