Great Bend Fire/EMS

Great Bend Emergency Medical Service had four ambulance runs Monday. Firefighters were called to a residence fire at 1610 Odell St. at 9:16 a.m. Monday. Upon arrival, it was observed fire from the attic had filled the main floor with smoke. Firefighters were able to access the attic from the main floor to contain and extinguish. The scene was cleared at 11:07 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Great Bend Emergency Medical Service had nine ambulance runs Tuesday. Firefighters were called Tuesday at 10:32 a.m. to a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival, firefighters were alerted to a burn pit at the 2900 block of Jefferson that was generating a lot of smoke. No injuries were reported.

A battery was reported at 8:41 a.m. Monday at Brit Spaugh Park, 2201 Main St.

A non-injury, two-vehicle crash was reported at 12:09 p.m. at 10th and Washington.

A non-injury, two-vehicle crash was reported at 2:38 p.m. at U.S. 281 Bypass and Frey St.

A non-injury, two-vehicle crash was reported at 3:32 p.m. at Jefferson Elementary, 2716 24th St.

A non-injury, hit-and-run crash was reported at 3:39 p.m. at 2703 Forest Ave.

A burglary not in progress was reported at 10:23 a.m. Tuesday at 5226 Eisenhower.

A K-9 callout was utilized at a narcotics violation reported at 10:47 a.m. at 21st and Tyler.

Interference with a law enforcement officer was reported at noon at Dillons, 4107 10th St.

A narcotics violation was reported at 12:22 p.m. at Great Bend High School, 2027 Morton.

An outside agency assist was reported at 1:03 p.m. for a warrant arrest at Dillons, 4107 10th St.

A theft was reported at 2:39 p.m. at Holiday Apartments, 5210 10th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 3:31 p.m. at 1444 16th St.

A non-injury crash was reported at 5:02 p.m. at the 2400 block of 21st Street.


Barton County Sheriff

A sex offense was reported at 8:35 a.m. Monday.

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:27 p.m. at NE 20 Road and Sunset Road, Barton County.
