Great Bend Fire/EMS

Great Bend Emergency Medical Services had six ambulance runs Monday. 

A structure fire was reported at 11:33 a.m. Monday at 323 N. Washington Ave. Firefighters were dispatched, but the call was canceled en route.

Great Bend Emergency Medical Service had six ambulance runs Tuesday. 

Firefighters responded to a smoke indication reported at 9:49 a.m. Tuesday in the 4100 block of 10th St. Determination was made that an HVAC unit was malfunctioning; the homeowner was advised.

Firefighters responded to a report of a gas leak at 2:48 p.m. in the 1400 block of 18th. No gas or carbon monoxide presence was detected.


Great Bend Police

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:56 a.m. Monday in the 1900 block of 24th Street.

A vehicle burglary not in progress was reported at 4:19 p.m. at 1010 Frey.

A theft was reported at 1 a.m. Tuesday at Kwik Shop, 3907 Broadway.

A domestic incident was reported at 4:12 p.m. Tuesday at 1712 Third St.


Barton County Sheriff

A non-injury crash was reported at 7:36 a.m. Tuesday at 859 NW 20 Ave., Hoisington.

A fire was reported at 3:02 p.m at NE 40 Road and NE 140 Ave., Ellinwood. Ellinwood Fire Department responded; the homeowner was conducting an unauthorized burn and the fire was extinguished.
