Sterling residents involved in vehicle-deer collision

A couple from Sterling were involved in a vehicle-vs-deer collision Friday in Sumner County. Kansas Highway Patrol reports Phillip and Donna Hewitt both had possible injuries as they were in pain but they were not transported to a hospital at the time. The crash occurred at 2:10 a.m. on May 31 at I35 in Sumner County. Mr. Hewitt was driving the northbound 2021 Ford Explorer when it struck a deer. The Explorer was functional after the crash.
