OLMITZ – Anna Louise Hejny, 89, died March 6, 2013 at Good Samaritan Center, Olathe.
She was born April 5, 1923 at rural Olmitz, the daughter of Alois & Theresa (Zoth) Schmid.
She married Murval L. Hejny Sept. 10, 1947 at Olmitz.  He died May 17, 2001. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hejny was a Gardner, Kansas, resident since 2009, coming from Great Bend, where she had resided since 1998 when they retired. She enjoyed her grandchildren, animals and cooking.
She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and Altar Society both of Olmitz and Daughters of Isabella and St. Patrick Catholic Church, both of Great Bend.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Feist and her husband Phillip, Gardner; Norma Kraisinger and her husband Richard, Otis; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Vigil Service with Altar Society and Daughters of Isabella Rosary is scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Olmitz. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Olmitz with Concelebrants, Father Ultan Murphy and Father Charles Mazouch. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Olmitz.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main, Hoisington.
Memorials are suggested to St. Ann Catholic Church or Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
