Charles "Terry" Eatherly, 56, died Jan. 31, 2011, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born July 7, 1954, at Great Bend, he was the son of Charles T. and Dorothy (Davis) Eatherly. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, he was a roughneck for Bigheart Drilling and an avid golfer.
Survivors include: His father of Abilene; one sister, Debbie Bigheart and husband Steve of Garber, Okla.; one brother, Doug Linsner and wife Lori of Great Bend; nieces and nephews, Kasie Turk and husband Jason of Bixby, Okla., Meg Keener and husband Billy of Hoisington, Steve "Buck" Bigheart and wife Alicia of Enid, Okla., and Conrad Bigheart and wife Jill of Enid, Okla.; and 14 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents, William and Donnie Johnson.
Memorial service will be announced at a later date by Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend. Memorials are suggested to Friends of Cheyenne Bottoms, Friends of Quivira Wildlife Refuge or American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.
