HOISINGTON — On July 4, 2022, Cody Seever, age 22, joined the great rodeo beyond. Cody grew up with a love for the Rodeo world and officially started riding bulls about ten years ago. Ever the country boy, Cody loved being outdoors and getting dirty. There wasn’t a time in his life that Cody didn’t have his fair share of animals around, professionally and personally. Most recently Cody left his Blue Healer companion, Roxy, behind to see his family through the loss.
He was born April 5, 2000, in Hoisington, Kan. and attended schools in Hoisington. He loved bullriding and hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed his time cowboying at the feedlots.
Survivors include father, Richard Lamb of Hoisington; mother, Erin Dannebohm (and husband Jon) of Ellinwood; sisters, Ashley Blair (and husband Ben) of Otis and Courtney Seever of Topeka; three nieces, Thea, Ella, and Layla; and maternal grandmother, Debby DuBois of Topeka. Cody was preceded in death by paternal grandmother Charlene Lamb. In addition to his immediate family Cody will be missed by his numerous extended family members.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation with family from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. on Thursday July 7, 2022, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington, Kan. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2022, at Heartland Community Church, 4907 10th St., Great Bend, Kansas. Burial will follow in Great Bend North Cemetery.
