Colleen Joan McCurdy 1933 2011

n McCurdy, 77, died Jan. 26 at her home in Hulbert, Okla. She was born in Moundridge on June 12, 1933 to Martha (Kutnink) and Pearl Suenram.

She marrried Jerry G. MCurdy in Great Bend on April 2, 1950. They lived in Wagoner and Cherokee County for the past twenty years. Mrs. McCurdy was a cook for Western Hills Lodge for five years until 1981. She became a cashier for the Wagoner Walmart. She was just short six hours from being on the job for seven years. She enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and tinkering with arts and crafts. Colleen and Jerry enjoyed their time together these past sixty years.

Mrs. McCurdy is survived by: husband, Jerry of the home; brothers, Clarence McConnaughy of Dodge City and Jesse McConnaughy of Great Bend; sister Larea Cravens of Great Bend; and several nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends.

Services and private committal were at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home & Crematory, Wagoner, Okla.
