Daunele D. Prescott 1942 - 2012

LARNED — Daunele D. Prescott, 70, died Nov. 23 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned. Born March 24, 1942, in Ellinwood, she was adopted by J.D. and Lydia Groves. A longtime resident of Larned, she was a retired Licensed Mental Health Technician and Clothing Aid at the Larned State Hospital. On May 3, 1964, she married Gerald L. Prescott in Albert. He survives.
Mrs. Prescott attended the First Christian Church, Christian Women’s Fellowship, and was past Matron of Eastern Star, all of Larned. She was also involved in the Cub Scouts, was an avid bowler with the women’s league and was a proud supporter and survivor of Relay for Life.
Other survivors include one son, Roy D. and wife Tricia of Pawnee Rock; one daughter, Dauna L. Herman and husband Todd of Macksville; one sister-in law, Sharon Heyen of Wichita; and eight grandchildren, Kaitlin Walker, Shanna Prescott, McKenzie and Tanner Galliart, Neal Winograd, Ryan, Kaden and Kirah Herman.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Morell Funeral Home, with Pastor Dan Lundgren presiding. Cremation has taken place.  Friends may sign a registrar from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday at Morell Funeral Home.
