Delores June Steadman, 89, died April 28 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood.  Born Sept. 11, 1925 at Bazine, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Lillian (DeWald) Schenkel.
She married Hugh Robert “Bud” Steadman July 14, 1946 at Bazine. Mrs. Steadman was a Great Bend resident since 1943.  She was a long-time secretary for Crawford and Company.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary #3111, and Order of Eastern Star Golden Sheaf Chapter #226, all of Great Bend.
Survivors include her husband, Hugh Robert “Bud” Steadman, of the home; her son, Dennis Robert Steadman and his wife Stephanie of Kennewick, Wash.; two daughters, Debra Sue Losch and her husband James of Schaumburg, Ill., and Laurie Lea Bard and her husband Larry of Great Bend, her five grandchildren, and her four great-grandchildren.  
Her funeral service will be Wednesday, May 6, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Great Bend with the Reverend Lennie Maxwell officiating. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, at Bryant Funeral Home.  Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net .
