Doris “Arlene” Bigham, 89, formerly  of Great Bend, died Dec. 1 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice-St. Francis in Wichita. She was born the daughter of Roy and Nellie (Stump) Van Cleave on March 18, 1923 in Pawnee County near Larned. In 1943, Arlene and  Phillip Eugene Bigham were united in marriage in Denver, Colo. Together they celebrated 32 years of marriage. She was a loving mother and grandmother that touched many lives. All that knew Arlene loved her dearly.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Stibal and her husband Mike, Trish Jasnoski and her husband Jim and Brenda Perlman all of Wichita; eight grandchildren, Shelley Voss and her husband Dave and Evan Perlman, both of Wichita, Chris Harris, Matthew Locke and his wife Tanisha, and Abby Perlman, all of Denver, Colo., Jason Harris of Biddeford, Maine, Jeffe Locke and his wife Billie of Austin, Texas, and Sara Perlman, student in Conway, Ark.; along with seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by  her parents; husband, Phillip Bigham; and brother, John Van Cleave.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Cornerstone Mortuary, 5318 East 37th Street North, Wichita. Her family will host a reception following the services at the mortuary. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 12 at the Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials have been established in her loving memory with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.
