Doris L. Kisner, 95, died Feb. 23 at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend. Born Jan. 30, 1918 in Hardy, Ark., she was the daughter of Marion and Charity (Sears) Richardson. In 1935 she married Forrest Ferguson in Hardy, Ark. She later married Earl Hilliard and Al Kisner. A resident of Great Bend since 1957, coming from Hoisington, she was a homemaker and a clerk at various department stores. She was a seamstress making many dolls and quilts.
Mrs. Kisner was a member of the First Assembly of God in Great Bend.
Survivors include one son, Scott Hilliard of Great Bend; three daughters, Shirley Detter of Hoisington, Carolyn Abercrombie and her husband Ed of Great Bend and Debbie Ferguson of Joplin, Mo.; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Opal Ferguson of Great Bend and Dot Ferguson of Tumbling Shoals, Ark. She was preceded in death by three sons, Don Ferguson, Hayden Ferguson, and Dale Ferguson; one step-son, Bill Ferguson; three brothers, Earl Richardson, Virgil Richardson, and Marvin Richardson; four sisters, Maxine Bitter, Ruth Kramer, Goldie Stout, and Mildred Morgan; and one grandson, Dustin Kipp. Mrs. Kisner was preceded in death by her poodle, Shasta.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. J.P. McCamey officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery North. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. to service time, on Friday, at Bryant Funeral Home.
