SMITH CENTER — Dr. Robert Glenn Sheppard, 91, passed away Nov. 24, 2012 at the Smith County Long Term Care.
He was born Nov. 6, 1921 in Tulsa, Okla., the son of Charles and Bessie (Saul) Sheppard. He was a general surgeon.
Survivors include his wife Eda, Smith Center; a daughter, Debra Evangelidis, Smith Center; sons, Robert Michael, Great Bend; and David Dean, Hillsboro; a sister, Maxie Bowman, Lawrence; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Nov. 28 at the United Methodist Church with Pastor Laura Fricker officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Smith Center.
The family requests memorial contributions be given to the Smith County Memorial Hospital or Smith County Long Term Care and can be sent in care of the mortuary.
