Eleanor Louise Miller, 102, passed away Dec. 22, 2020, at Brookdale Senior Living, Great Bend. She was born Oct. 5, 1918, at Alden, to Willis L. and Chloe G. (Johnson) Hamilton. She married Harold Robert Thomas. He died Nov. 14, 1982. She then married Robert Earl Miller in Grand Junction, Colo. He died Dec. 22, 2002.
A lifetime Great Bend resident, Eleanor was a teacher. She was a founding member of the Tuesday Morning Prayer Group. Eleanor enjoyed bingo and playing the card game Kings on the Corner, but she especially loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include, a son, David Thomas and wife Dawn of Great Bend; a daughter, Carolyn Huslig and husband David of Grand Junction, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Doris Fritz of Riley, and Roberta Lindbeck of Oregon; ten grandchildren, Joshua Huslig, Jennifer West and husband Mike, Jordan Huslig and wife Lindsay, Brandon Thomas and wife Chelsi, Tina Thomas, Meischa Zimmerman and husband Jonathan, Lucas Herl and wife Lindsay, Claire Thomas, Heather Thomas, and Darin Thomas; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Robert Thomas, and Robert Earl Miller; a son, Stephen Thomas; a brother, Charles Hamilton; and a sister, Edith Bartoo.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 at Bryant Funeral Home. Due to COVID19, a private family service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, with Pastor David Huslig and Pastor Mike West presiding. A public livestream of the service will be available under Eleanor’s obituary at www.bryantfh.net. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery.
