LACROSSE — Glenn F. Morrison, 83, died March 4, 2013 at Rush County Memorial Hospital in LaCrosse.Born July 13, 1929 in Baileyville, he was the son of Lee Dennis and Avis Lee (Mann) Morrison. He was married to Joyce Barker in Great Bend. The couple had four children. A resident of Barton and Rush Counties most of his life, as a young man, he worked at Thies Packing and Meadowgold Dairy. He later owned several furniture stores in Great Bend and LaCrosse. Even after retirement Glenn loved wheeling and dealing when he was not playing cards or Bingo.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Morrison Ewing, Salina; three sons, Stanley W. Morrison and his wife Vicky, Albert; Steven Morrison and his wife Denise, Great Bend; and Jeffery Morrison, Lawrence; a daughter, Vicki Morrison Sisson, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Verla Morrison Coulson, Salina; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Morrison and George “Speedo” Morrison; and a sister, Virginia Housman.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Rod Thelander and the Rev. Vicki Morrison Sisson officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
