Harold DeWayne Carter 1936 - 2014

LARNED —Harold DeWayne Carter, 77, died Feb. 8 at Diversicare of Larned.
He was born July 9, 1936, at Sedgwick, he was the son of Roy C. and Ivol G. Palmor Carter.  A resident of Larned since 1989, he was a retired real estate agent.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
On Feb. 2, 2002, he married Darlene G. Ginther Brown at Great Bend.  She died June 15, 2011.
Survivors include two step-sons, Darwin W. Brown, Troy, Michigan and Joey Brown, Jacksonville, Texas, step-daughter, Debbie Spires, Topeka, sister, Roxie Conkle, Wichita, and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a son, Simon Wayne Carter, brother, Robert L. Carter and two sisters, Dollie Haskins and Joann Hornecker.
Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Kechi Township Cemetery, Kechi.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday at  Morell Funeral Home, Larned.
Memorials may be sent to Pawnee County Humane Society in care of Morell Funeral Home.
