Imogene Osborn, 83, died Nov. 28 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. She was born Sept. 1, 1929, at Lamar, Colo., the daughter of Joseph Ernie and Anna (Bausye) Choat. She married Albert D. Hatten on Oct. 1, 1943, at Grenada, Colo. He preceded her in death. She then married James O. Osborn on Oct. 6, 1980, at Cimarron. He died Dec. 9, 1993. A resident of Great Bend and Claflin since 1977, she was a day care provider, and later a caregiver for the elderly.
Mrs. Osborn was a member of First Southern Baptist Church and River of Life Foursquare Gospel Church, both of Great Bend.
Survivors include a son, Al Hatten and wife Connie of Great Bend; two daughters, Pattie Sanders of Great Bend, and Debbie Radenberg and husband John of Claflin; two brothers, A. J. Choat of Lamar, Colo., and Joe Choat of Granada, Colo.; one sister, Joan Thompson of Lamar, Colo.; 10 grandchildren, Richard Dean Sanders, Ron Sanders, Tanya McNaught, Tia Hatten, Albert Hatten, Jr., Adam Hatten, Skylar Radenberg, William Radenberg, James Radenberg, and J. C. Radenberg; 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Bob Hatten and Jimmy Gene Osborn; and one brother, Wilber Choat.
Funeral Service will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor David LeRoy officiant. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 1:30-3:30 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to River of Life Foursquare Gospel Church or Faith in Motion Youth Ministry, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
