Jennie Frances Ueckert, 89, died Sept. 19 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. She was born Aug. 3, 1924, at Stafford, to Louis and Frances (Krkosska) Reiser. She married Paul M. Ueckert April 21, 1945, at Ellinwood. He died July 16, 1995. A lifetime Great Bend resident, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Ueckert was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Altar Society, and had been a member of Great Bend Women’s Bowling Association, Cheyenne Sportsman Club and CKMC Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Hammans of Great Bend, and Diana Stumps and her husband Roger of Derby; one brother, Elmer Reiser of Great Bend; a son-in-law, Don Bruner of Enid, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Chris Myers and wife Alexa, Janea Trapp and husband Tim, Chad VanCamp and his wife Erin, Austin Stumps, and Kenton Stumps and his wife Alex; and four great-grandchildren, Avery, Noah, Aaden and Ava. She was preceded in death by a son, Allen Ueckert; daughter, Linda Bruner; four brothers, Rudolph Reiser, Larry Reiser, Ralph Reiser and Alois Reiser; and son-in-law, Paul Hammans.
Vigil service with rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at Bryant Funeral Home. Altar Society Rosary will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Ted Stoecklein, celebrant. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Sunflower Diversified Services or Prince of Peace Parish, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
