It is with heavy hearts we announce that Joyce Elaine Robinson (Duncan) passed away on Dec. 31, 2023 at the age of 73. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sunbeam Duncan and infant son, Leroy Wyatt of Larned, Kan. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Neely Tracy and husband, Michael and Amy Robinson and husband Chad; grandchildren Jake and wife Tiffany, Noah, Lex and wife Madison, Darian, Ava Bella, Kiana, Sophia and great grandson Joshua; her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Bill Courson; nieces and nephews Malissa Nesmith and husband Trent, Caleb, Cayden and Canon, Angie Lapine and husband Michael, Mya, Brittany, and Dallas, Lance Courson and wife Mary Jane, Kobe, Kyle, Ashlee Valles and husband Manny; cousins Janie McElhaney and Nancy Jeter.

Originally from Rozel, Kan., Joyce graduated high school from Great Bend, Kan. She married Leroy Robinson and their family relocated with his career, living in Kansas, Missouri, Florida and finally Texas. Joyce lived in Highland Village, Texas since 1984. She worked as a photographer. She loved her family dearly and had many dear friends that were like family to her. Joyce was remarried to Sam Hammerschmidt in 2004. She enjoyed shopping, traveling and talking with old friends, as well as new friends she had just met. Joyce had a bubbly, happy personality, loved everyone and everyone loved her. She was a huge lover of dogs and would rescue them whenever she could. The family wishes to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and prayers at this time. A Celebration of Life ceremony is schedule for Feb. 17th in Lewisville, Texas.
