Katherine Louise Ball 1929 - 2012

Katherine Louise Ball, 83, died Nov. 25 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Aug. 17, 1929 in Atlanta, she was the daughter of Shelton C. and Veatrice (Wakefield) Haworth. On Dec. 15, 1946 she married Dewey Daniel Ball in Winfield. A resident of Great Bend since 1955, coming from Plainville, she was a homemaker. She along, with her husband, was a beekeeper. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, sewing, knitting, and Scrabble.
Mrs. Ball was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Dewey Daniel Ball, of the home; two sons, Dewey Dan Ball and his wife Linda of Pawnee Rock and Dale Eugene Ball and wife Chris of Grove, Okla.; one brother, Bart Edward Haworth of Winfield; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheryl Louise Turnbow and her husband Russ; one brother, Wayne Haworth; and two sisters, Donita Sullivan and Treva Latta.  
There will be no services or visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
